    Hello John,
My name is James DelCol. I studied drums with you in the early 90’s at LI Drum Center off Commack Rd. I was a bodybuilder. Maybe you remember me.
I stopped playing for a long period of time. I did several Master’s Thesis in college. I got a great education at Hofstra University. I have been managing construction since 2003 in NYC.
So my plumber on a ground-up “Joe’s Crab Shack” in Elmhurst, NY tells me that he is a keyboardist. We talk and we are into a lot of the same music. So on a dare, I started hitting the pads and getting my hands ready because this guy is pretty good and I am dormant 20 years. I was terrified. LOL!
I played a few times since then and we are going to start playing every week. My musical self is emerging and it feels so great. It is time to start lessons again. I’m in Rego Park, NY.
I’m falling in love with music again. I still remember so many things that you taught me. I am still trying to get a grasp on everything we used to do. The joy is in the journey. Little by little…
    Jim
