I endorse and love SABIAN Cymbals. In February 2005 I was lucky enough to go up to SABIAN in Boston and hand pick my cymbal set up. What an awesome experience. These guys at SABIAN are not only great people but they make some AMAZING cymbals. With Joe Healy”s help I chose an awesome set up for both my studio and live playing. I am very happy to be part of the SABIAN team! If you want to hear my cymbals go to Sabians sound check part of there website. You can hear all the cymbals they make there as well as the ones I am using. This is a great way to find out what SABIAN cymbals are right for you.
I endorse Vic Firth DRUM STICKS. I play the SD9 Drivers, SD 10″s and the 5B Models. They are great feeling sticks. The SD9 Driver has a Acorn type tip that makes the ride Cymbal sound great while the 5B has an Thicker shank for a more meaty sound and feel.
I endorse REMO Drum Heads. They are a very consistent drum head as well as having great sound and feel. I use many of their models depending if I am in the studio or live. Generally I use Clear Ambassadors on the tops and bottoms of my toms. Coated ambassador on the Snare and a Power Stoke 3 on the Bass Drum.
I have been playing LP Percussion for as long as I can remember and it is great to now be one of there endorsees. I love the tone and feel of all there bells and they help me express myself in all the styles of music I play! I recently added the Conga and Bongo Compacts to my kit. Awesome stuff!!!
I recently started to use and now endorse HANSENFUTZ Practice pedals. I use them to practice my foot technique as well as extra pedals on my set. As far as practice pads go.
I endorse HQ PERCUSSION Real Feel Practice Pads. I have been using them for as long as I can remember. Simplythe best.
I also endorse Samson Mics. I use the Drum 8 pack at all my clinics. Great Mics!!!
In the studio and for my live drum clinics I use SUPER PHONES High end studio head phones .They are the best! The isolation allows me to hear exactly what my drums sound like on tape while I am recording as well as get a great monitor mix for my drum clinics.
I also endorse the Turn it up and Lay it Down play along series by Drum Fun. At this point there is 6 CD play alongs with many styles. I play to some tracks at my clinics as well as have my students go through them!!
Recently I was turned onto the Beatnik Rhythmic Analyzer. This is an amazing tool to gage how accurate you are. I have been part of the Beatnik team for a while now and I must say it is a great product and great team of guys to work with…
I endorse Axis Pedals. I had been looking for a lighter-faster pedal for some time. When I was at my friend Derek Roddy’s studio I noticed how great these pedals felt. I had to get one!! Thanks to Derek for hooking me up with Axis. Great pedals!!! As of 2012 I now play Derek’s signature Axis double pedal!
Factory Metal – I have played Factory metal percussion for a while now and have made some real nice sounds with them!
My Kickport makes my Bass drum sound amazing! I endorse Kickport for Live and Studio playing.
I use and endorse Tune Bot by Overtone Labs. This is a really great tool for tuning your drums. Check out their website for an amazing video demo. Click HERE for my tunings!
My latest endorsement is with Polecat Percussion Systems. http://www.polecatps.com. This system is the best way to get the exact set up of all your cymbal stands and hardware quickly night after night. Set up and break down is easy and most importantly fast!! I highly recommend it.
I recently signed with a great product and great team of people – Drum Muff! They are a great way to cut out the un wanted ring. I find that using them on my Snare drum and toms really improves my drum sound. They work great both live and in the studio. I recently used them on a recording I did for the new Special EFX CD. Check out Drum Muffs HERE
2/10/17 Just signed an artist agreement with CYMPAD! Really happy to be a CYMPAD artist. Thanks to my my good friend Joe Bergamini for making the introductions. This is an amazing product.
